T-Mobile Announces 5G Open Innovation Lab Spring 2021 Progra

T-Mobile announces the 15 companies selected to participate in the 5G Open Innovation Lab Spring 2021 program. The 12-week program is designed to spur the development of new 5G capabilities, use cases, and market categories that will enhance the way we live and do business.

The 5G Open Innovation Lab, backed by T-Mobile, Amdocs, Dell Technologies, Intel, Microsoft, NASA, F5, and VMware, brings together a group of industry leaders in academia, enterprise, and government institutions to aid start-ups, with secured Series A, B, or C financing, in developing, testing, and implementing creative use cases and innovations for 5G.

The 15 companies chosen for the Spring 2021 program come from a variety of markets and industries including cybersecurity, fleet management, logistics, public safety, and healthcare.

“Our program set out to develop the software ecosystem for 5G and edge computing,” said Jim Brisimitzis, general partner of the 5G Open Innovation Lab. “Our third batch combines the best of applications and infrastructure companies that will power use cases and important edge computing capabilities. The diversity of stages, use cases, and technology of this batch demonstrates the program’s evolution and ability to attract a range of companies.”
